Awards and Exhibits:

James William Page Traveling Fellowship for Painting, from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston., 1969. Exhibited at the Boston Museum of Arts., 1969.
For fourteen years, 1992-2006, I created and staged numerous themed theatrical environments for events at The Ritz Carlton at the Beach in Naples, FL., The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort also in Naples, The Ritz Carlton on the Lakes in Orlando, The Mariott Hotel and Convention Center on Marco Island, and The International Trade Center in Orlando. Included among the themes I created were for events such as The Naples Winter Wine Festival in Naples, FL, The Gala for Treasures Fund Raiser for Seacrest School, in Naples, The Heart Ball in Fort Myers, FL., Tales for Tails Event at Sea World in Orlando, and What's New in Event Design for Disney in Orlando, FL., and a stage design for India's Bollywood Dancers at Disney, in Orlando. Typically a project covered the entire perimeter if the ballroom, with flats, approximately 75' x 130' and 16' in height. The sets were all hand painted with cut outs of free standing figures in front Setting up required 20 to 30 people working hard to get it up in a matter of hours, always the same day as the event. N

Juries:

Three years, 1969-1971, I was invited to join the panel of jurors at the Boston Museum of Art Boston, for their Traveling Fellowship Competition. I have participated as a judge many times for other small shows and competitions. The most fun was being included in choosing the recipients of the art awards given at the state fair in Clinton, Idaho, in 1973.
