73rd ANNUAL MEMBER EXHIBITION PROSPECTUS
FLAG SUPPORTS FOLLOWING LOCAL CDC GUIDELINES AT ALL EVENTS.
Your reservation to voluntarily attend FLAG events means you (and your guests) take full responsibility for your health and safety, and you agree that the Florida Artists Group, Inc., and/or its’ Board of Directors or the individuals making up the Board of Directors are not held liable in any way.
- EXHIBITION PROSPECTUS – Application Deadline is November 18, 2022
All members in good standing are entitled to submit one piece to the 73rd Annual Symposium Exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Science. moas.org
- Artwork previously submitted in a FLAG annual exhibit or ANY OTHER exhibits (including exhibits that were not FLAG) at the Museum of Arts and Sciences are not eligible including any art newly embellished or “reworked”. Should a work be determined ineligible following installation or award, the artwork shall be removed, and the award returned to FLAG.
- Artwork must have been created within 3 years of the deadline November 18. Reworked versions of older work do not meet the 3-year “new” requirement and are not acceptable. Should a work be determined ineligible following installation or award, the artwork shall be removed, and the award returned to FLAG.
- Consistent with FLAG’s policy, no work that is POR (price on request) or NFS (not for sale) is eligible.
- No strongly political, negative, or controversial material is allowed.
- Museum of Arts and Sciences does not receive commissions. All sales transactions are with the artists directly.
- SEND YOUR VERY BEST PROFESSIONALLY FINISHED ART ONLY. This highly prestigious venue (Smithsonian affiliate with Museum of Alliance accreditation) expects to exhibit only the best professional works of art. - Two-dimensional size restrictions are generally open – However, if your art is more than 70” wide or 96″ tall you must contact the Exhibit and Symposium Director who will determine final approval for the art with the FLAG President. All two-dimensional work shall have proper installation hardware; saw tooth hardware will not be accepted. Art requiring special installation such as art with more than one canvas or objects to be attached to the wall must get prior approval from the Exhibit and Symposium Director. Work framed and covered must be under Plexiglas. Glass will not be accepted.
- Three-dimensional sculptures sizes are generally open. However, if your art is more than 48” square or diameter at the base or taller than 96” tall you must contact the Exhibit and Symposium Director who will determine final approval for the art with the FLAG President.
- No 3-D installation style and video style art will be accepted.
- Registration, upload image specs and Payment: Fill out information and upload your image on Entrythingy by November 18, 2022, at EntryThingy. If you have trouble with Entrythingy contact them directly at hello@entrythingy.com. Payment of $40.00 is through PayPal (NO LONGER AVAILABLE – DEADLINE PASSED)
- Digital image of your artwork MUST BE formatted with the longest side no more than 2100 pixels and 300 An additional jpg image of three-dimensional artwork is allowed.
- Label your jpg file (no spaces or dollar sign) as follows: Lastname_Firstname_Area#_Title_Dimensions_Medium_ Price.jpg

- Label your artwork – For 2D, please attach a paper label to your hanging wire on the far right, or for 3D, an appropriate placement stating your:
Artist‘s Name__ FLAG Area__ Title of artwork__ - Hand Delivered and Picked up art – the time and day must be scheduled in advance. Pickup and delivery are between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Artists will receive additional information by January 3 on how to schedule their times.
Delivery and Pickup location: Gary R. Libby Entry Court Lobby of the Museum of Arts and Science, 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The museum will be sending paperwork for each artist to complete and email back or bring with them. Delivery is on January 23 and 24, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pick-up of artwork is on April 25 or 26, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. from same location as delivery.
Shipped art – Ship to the Museum of Arts and Science, 352 S. Nova Road., Daytona Beach, FL 32114 - Shipped work should be sent via the artist’s preferred carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx).
- Shipped work must arrive at the museum between January 17 – 21, 2023).
- Work delivered outside the above noted dates and designated time may not be accepted for exhibition.
- All shipped artworks must include a return, prepaid shipping label for the artist’s carrier. The museum will begin the return shipment process on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, so give the art several weeks to get back to you. Remember shipping is slower now due to delivery service changes.
- All Packaging (if you want the box reused) and Shipping boxes (for the purpose of reusing) must have a small 2” x 4” label on the BOTTOM LEFT corner with the following information:
