We request to see sample images in a consistent art medium, meaning a cohesive body of work where all pieces share a strong consistency in artistic mediums, approach, or style.
We issue a call for new members starting around July 1 of each year. Entries are filed on Entrythingy, a free interface for submitting artwork. Your complete application and payment must be received no later than August 31 at midnight EST. Late applications will not be accepted.
The FLAG Board of Directors is the jury for membership. The information you provide will be the main qualifying elements of the review, but jurors may also choose to research the applicant further through inquiry and online. The new member review process is completed by mid-September. The FLAG Membership Chair will advise applicants of the membership selection outcome, so that the invitees can accept and pay the additional membership fee by October 1.

FLAG Application Process
The link to the application is below. You will want to have all documents and images ready and easily accessible for inserting/uploading to Entrythingy. If you are new to EntryThingy, you will create a profile and insert documents into it. If you already have a Profile in EntryThingy, you will update your documents by editing your Profile. Technical issues? EntryThingy has videos to help you, or you can contact Hello@EntryThingy.com. They generally respond in 48 hours, so start early!
Applications must be complete with supporting documents provided in a digital format, including the following:
- IMAGES
Submit no less than 8 images of your art without the frame included in JPG format, maximum size 1500 pixels, longest side at 72 dpi. Where possible, hide the signature if the image is signed. Name the images as shown below and numbered in the following manner:
Numbered 1-8_Title. Use upper & lower case letters and include spaces in the title. (For example: 1_Under the Sun.jpg) - RESUME AND BIO/ARTIST STATEMENT
If you copy and paste your text documents into EntryThingy, you must proofread for miscoded text and awkward formatting. Some font letters and symbols may change, and the spacing of text might change. Check for clarity so the judges understand your submission. Please keep your resume/CV to two (2) pages max. This shall include dates, educational background, recent solo and group exhibitions, and recent awards with dates and venues. General comments like “won many awards” or “several exhibits” are not acceptable. Please keep your bio/statement to 1 page and include the number of months you have resided in Florida during a year. While we may accept 9-month Florida residents, full-time residence is preferred. - PAYMENT
The PayPal button will be available at the end of the application process. The non-refundable application fee is $25.00. If you are invited to join, this fee will offset a portion of the first-year membership fee (currently $75), so you will be invoiced for $50 following your acceptance of membership. This must be paid by September 30. No paper entries or payment by check are accepted. All submissions are to be made through EntryThingy and paid through PayPal. Payment issue? Contact our Treasurer, Sophia Lacroix, FLAGtreasurer2026@gmail.com. Accepted media include sculpture (bronze, ceramic, and glass, etc.), mixed media, fine art fiber, painting, drawing, digital art/photography. AI-generated artwork or the use of AI as a major contributor in your artwork creation is not accepted at this time, as you must be the sole creator of your art. If you have questions regarding the types of media, please contact Chee Bravo, State Membership Chair, at FLAGmembershipchair@gmail.com.
