STATEMENT:

This artist always focused her art attention on painting animals, endangered or otherwise. People seem to be naturally drawn to images of animals even if they are not interested in purchasing. Art which focuses on animals provides them with a voice and brings attention to their plight that might not otherwise have been heard.

The artist shares her talent and ideas to give animals a place where their voices can be heard and a place to be seen.

RESUME:

This artist, a fulltime resident of Bradenton FL, has always been interested in creating art but not until 2019 did she have the opportunity to immerse herself in the creative process. Although she is a self-directed artist, she has taken advantage of learning opportunities from several successful wildlife artists who fulfill her objective in style and approach and broadened her techniques.

During her extensive airline career, this artist had the opportunity to see the abundance of wildlife in their diverse natural settings in over 50 countries and she now uses her art to bring attention to the protection of endangered species and their exclusive habitats. Her artwork is intended to bring awareness to the delicate balance we have in nature. Art focusing on animals can give them a voice and bring awareness to their plight that might not otherwise have been seen nor heard.

She has been awarded national and international recognition. Her works have been displayed at the North Port Art Guild (Best in Show), ArtCenter Manatee (multiple placements), Camelback Studios in Scottsdale AZ (featured artist), Art4Apes exhibition (VAir), Pasadena Art Show (First Place), Sarasota Magazine (cover feature), and the Institute of Primate Studies in Madison WI (reference artwork). Her works are enjoyed in private homes in the USA and Europe as well as various shops and galleries.
