February 5 & 6, 2027, at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, Florida
You are destined to have a wonderful time in this art-filled town as the members of FLAG “merge” to demonstrate the variety of fine art created in Florida today.
Get ready for fun and networking. We are bringing back the successful Plein Air Paint Out and will be seeking members to offer public workshops on Thursday, the 4th, or Friday, the 5th. Details on how to apply to conduct a workshop or register for the Plein Air event are coming soon.
The exhibit opens with a nice reception Friday night, February 5, and our educational presentation by the juror and other art leaders will be Saturday, February 6th, 9:30 to 1 pm. Our awards recognition gathering will happen Saturday, early evening.

Judge for Florida Artists Group 77th Annual Exhibition

Mary Laube is Associate Professor at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She received her MFA (2012) from The University of Iowa. Laube has held recent exhibitions at Morgan Lehman Gallery (NYC), Ortega y Gasset Projects (NYC), Groundfloor Contemporary (Birmingham, AL), The Warbling Collective (London), the Knoxville Museum of Art, and Tiger Strikes Asteroid Philadelphia. Laube’s work questions how cultural objects accumulate meaning across time and space. Through the abstraction of historical objects her work gives form to the de-territorialized conditions of a globalized and colonized world. In doing so, the works become artifacts themselves, antagonizing our relationship to culture, and the fraught process of defining it.
