Rolando Chang Barrero, Angie Barry, Amanda Cooper, & Renee Lewis

Rolando Chang Barrero, an America born artist graduated in 1990 from the Institute of Chicago School of Art, where he was awarded the Ryerson Fellowship. He recently received The Cultural Council of Palm Beach Muse Award for Outstanding Cultural Leadership. Additionally, he and his gallery have been called Best Artist – Best Gallery in Palm Beach by South Florida Gay News (SFGN). Other accomplishments include initiating the rebrand of the Boynton Beach Arts District and founding of Art Synergy. Several notable publications recognize him as a “Cultural Creative”, an “Artistic Innovator”, one of the “Top 10 Visual Artists in Palm Beach County”, as one of the ”Most Intriguing People of South Florida Arts Scene”, and “Green Trailblazer”. He has served as an invited artist, as facilitator of critical racial and equity programs, an invited curator, and as television host for the first bilingual arts and culture program in Palm Beach County. Angie L. Barry has been the Curator of Exhibitions & Collections at the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum in Quincy, Florida, since 2008. She develops exhibitions of visual artists of local, regional, and national scope. In 2016, Barry worked on a team to secure first time accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums for Gadsden Arts. In 2019, she curated the exhibition, From the Cedar Chest: Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today, an exploration of the rich tradition of quilting in the North Florida Big Bend community which included a public art component by developing the Big Bend Quilt Trail. Angie has a Bachelor’s in Art History and a Master’s in Arts Administration from Florida State University, and she lives in Tallahassee with her husband and two young sons.

Amanda Cooper was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She received a BA in Art History from the University of Florida in 1997. Since 1999, she has worked as Curator of Exhibitions at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, where she has organized over 400 exhibitions.  She has served as juror for various art exhibitions including Dunedin Art Harvest, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards exhibition, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Folkfest in St. Petersburg, Melbourne Arts Festival, ArtFest in Fort Myers, Ocala Arts Festival, and the Pinellas Association of Visual Artists Cool Art Show. She has served on art panels for Pinellas County and the State of Florida, awarding public art projects and individual artist grants. She lives in St. Pete with her husband, three children, and two cats.

Renee Lewis is an award-winning artist living in Winter Park, FL, and she is represented by the A.T. Hun Gallery, Savannah.  A native of Brooklyn, NY, Renee always loved the combination of texture and color. The confluence of cultures in NYC was especially influential. Lewis received a B.F.A. in Fabric Design from the School of Art at Syracuse University. As part of the University’s Foreign Studies Program, she studied Art History in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In her focus on Fabric Design, Lewis developed a proficiency with repetitive patterns, which continues to be a theme in her current work. Her Post-Impressionist style drawings are created with a blend of oil crayons, color pencils and pastels on black paper or mat board. Art shown above: Women 22
